Morocco and Tunisia

Our journeys through Morocco and Tunisia, whether on a motorcycle or in our 4×4, took us into the heart of the desert—a world of endless sand dunes where it’s all too easy to lose your way. The vast, open landscapes, with nothing but the horizon in sight, were both humbling and exhilarating.

Life in the desert taught us to appreciate simplicity. In places where resources are scarce, we found people with incredible warmth and resilience, living a slower pace of life deeply connected to their surroundings. The customs we encountered were often unfamiliar yet fascinating, offering a glimpse into traditions shaped by the challenges of these arid lands.

From bustling markets in Moroccan towns to quiet Tunisian villages, the contrast between the vibrant culture and the starkness of the desert was striking. These countries, though not wealthy by conventional standards, were rich in history, beauty, and human spirit—a reminder that sometimes the most profound experiences are found in the simplest places.
